Facilities Rental at Virginia-Highland Church

Virginia-Highland Church is delighted to rent out our facilities for weddings, receptions, meetings, social events, and other uses. We have several spaces that are available for rental. Sanctuary This space, used for worship on Sunday mornings, will hold 200 people. It has a separate entrance from the rest of the building with a traditional columned porch and elegant foyer. The sanctuary contains an organ and a piano and a microphone-based sound system. It is an elegant space for a wedding or partnership ceremony, and its acoustic superiority make it a choice venue for a musical performance. Restrooms conveniently adjoin the space. When used for weddings, there is a bride's room available which allows for a movement from preparation to sanctuary without going outside.

Social Hall This space, used for receptions, large meetings or social events will hold 50 people. It has a full, professional kitchen, adjoining restrooms, and an elevated stage. The space is connected by two stairways to the sanctuary for use together for an event and reception and can also be entered through a side entrance with stairs for use on its own. The space can be rented with the kitchen or without.

Library This space, lined with bookshelves, has two seating areas: a circle of a sofa and chairs for informal meetings, and an extra-large executive table for more formal meetings. The room can also be arranged for a small reception of 10-15 people, using the executive table as serving space for refreshments or a small buffet.

classrooms The church has several classrooms available for rental, ranging in capacity from 8 to 20.
