Virginia-Highland Church regularly uses worship media from Progressive Church Media. For communities of faith looking for Christian worship media that actually reflects your theology, they are hard to beat.

Most Sundays, we use PowerPoint templates from PCM as well as video loops and their welcome videos. We particularly appreciate that they have worship media available in both English and Spanish, which serves our needs well. More recently, we have started using some of their new print templates for flyers and posters to promote various events at our church. They create them in PowerPoint, which makes it easy for us to customize without the needs for Photoshop or other expensive software. One other aspect of PCM that we enjoy – tutorials that show you practical ways to use worship media and social media to enhance our ministry. We regularly use many of the ideas we’ve learned on their site. We found some great ideas for a Fall Festival here. They also have Thanksgiving ideas for church and for Christmas Eve services, too. They also have a nice collection of Advent candle lighting readings. Here are some good ideas for a Christmas background. We also like this Advent collection on Hope Peace Joy Love.

This new set of resources for water baptism are modern in their look and tone. And here are great ideas for social media to promote Easter services. And we love this set of resources to promote our annual Easter egg hunt.

As an affirming and welcoming congregation, we appreciate that they have resources designed to welcome our LGBT friends and families. PCM appears to have a solid commitment to all sorts of social justice issues. They also have resources that demonstrate that God’s love is not limited to one gender. They also offer worship media on topics that other providers will not touch – such as World AIDS Day. We love these resources featuring Advent candles. And we also love these Christmas backgrounds.
